Rough Qualification (re-compete, RFI/SS)

Overview

  1. In this first analysis you probably don’t know much about the opportunity so we are going to ask questions that you can answer with minimal information
  2. We are just looking for big show stoppers right now
  3. If in doubt make it a “Go”
  4. This analysis does not apply to RFPs, if you learn about a need when the RFP comes out use the RFP qualifying tool

What you need before qualifying

  1. You just need the Current Contract’s RFP documents or the RFI/SS

The questions to ask:

  1. Do you have time to pursue this opportunity:
    1. Do you know how long it will take to pursue the work (shape, build a team & propose)?
    2. Do you have people available?
  2. Do you plan to respond to the RFP that comes out?
  3. Can you shape the opportunity in your favor:
    1. The RFP’s set-aside
    2. The RFP’s NAICS code
    3. The requirements to bid:
    4. The past performance requirements
